Welcome to the ARRL Alaska Section
Amateur radio is alive and well inside Alaska. Ham Radio operators have supported public events and emergency response operations in Alaska for over 70 years. With three ARRL 50+ year affiliated radio clubs and more than 3400 amateur radio operators throughout the state, ham radio has the ability to provide communication coverage all over the entire state.
Alaska is twice the size of Texas and 413 times the size of Rhode Island, yet has only one section for the entire state to support activities and emergency communications.
